While Shepherds Watched

Hello there! Today I want to share with you a Christmas card featuring the Shepherds from Chocolate Baroque's A Child Is Born A4 sheet. This is one of four new Christmas stamp sets released in September. These are some of the most beautiful and elegant Christmas images around - truly.

You can also see my card over at the Chocolate Baroque Design Team Blog, but here I want to share with you the tools and products I used to make this project.

First I stamped the shepherds.
Then I made the masks - a small circle for the moon and another for the shepherds.
Next - some light inking to create the sky with several Distress Inks:
 * Seedless Preserve, Dusty Concord, Weathered Wood, Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky *
For the stars, I dabbed on some Stardust Stickles.
The patterned paper is from Humphrey's Corner by Sally Hunter.

And now for the fun part - colouring! I've used Graph'It Markers ... and here are the colours:

Skin: Skin(4155); Light Caramel (4170); Peach (4175)
Head Cloth: Cream (1210); Sahara (1230)
Brown Shepherd: Havana (3245); Cigar (3255); Espresso (3270); Mocha (3280); Cream (1210); Pink Grey 3 (9303); Pink Grey 4 (9304); Pink Grey 5 (9305); Coral (5210); Tomato (5220)
Blue Shepherd: Misty Morning (7105); Sky (7125); Celestial (7130); Neutral Grey 0 (9500); Neutral Grey 1 (9501); Neutral Grey 2 (9502); Neutral Grey 3 (9503); Neutral Grey 4 (9504)
Sheep: Neutral Grey 0 (9500); Neutral Grey 1 (9501)
Grass: Normandy (8130); Chlorophyll (8150); Forest (8160); Tuscany (8270)

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Magic set, with VersaMagic Perfect Plumeria.

Leaving you with God's Word in Hebrews 12:2---"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
