52 {C}CT September Colour Challenge

Welcome to 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Colour Challenge. It's my second week playing hostess and I get to choose the colours. Here's the colour prompt - nothing complicated.

Red OR Blue + Black AND White + Silver OR Gold.

Deedee Designs will be sponsoring the challenges for September. Head on over to Deedee's on-line store to take a peek (and be tempted!) by her beautiful artwork.

Here's my card for this week - an icy easel card:

The image and greeting are from Chocolate Baroque's Snowy Penguin clear stamp set.
I heat embossed the snowflakes and inked the background with Distress Inks: Broken China,
Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass. I added silver bling and tied silver crochet thread for
some festive sparkle.

I coloured the image with Graph'It and Promarkers.
Snowman: GI Antarctic, Fresh Mint, Blender
Hat & Scarf: PM Royal Blue, True Blue & Azure.
Black bling for his eyes and blue for his buttons complete the snowman.

Some challenges for this card:

Sweet Stampin' Christmas September: Christmas Critters
Christmas Card Challnges #41: Tall & Skinny / AG Christmas
CHNC Extra September: AG Christmas
Shopping Our Stash #168: Chicken / Any Other Bird - Penguin
Fussy & Fancy #122: More Than One Fold - easel card
Completely Christmas #29: AG Christmas

Now it's your turn to create a festive card based on this week's Colour challenge. In order to be considered for Top Honour and Honourable Mentions, your new card must follow the challenge sketch and you must link it to the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Challenge Blog by 6pm UK / 1pm EST on Friday, 19th September. And here's the most important rule: Have Fun!

Rosie's Update:
Rosie is doing well. Her appetite is back, the fever is gone, she's starting to gain weight, her blood-work is encouraging and she's playing ball!. The not so good news is her tumour is hasn't reduced much. On the other hand, we should be thankful that it hasn't grown. We're seeing the oncologist again at the end of the month to discuss "what next". Until then, we're enjoying having Rosie back.
That's all from me today. Thank you for stopping by and have a fun weekend!

Beijinhos,
