My prayer for you

Hello, my friends! Just a quick fly-by to share some wonderful news: We're expecting a godchild! Baby isn't born yet but will be in a couple of days or so. In the meantime, we've been asked to be his / her godparents. What an honour!!!  Boy or Girl....we don't know, not even the young parents-to-be. I'm giddy with excitement which led to a frenzy of baking, praying and crafting. The only thing left to show you is the card I plan to give the little one:

A simple sketch with papers from Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness 6x6 pad. Gender neutral colours  to avoid additional trauma to the newly born!

I LOVE this sentiment. It's an old one from Word Art Wednesday. ...perfect in every way.  The image is a digi by Emma Canning from the Digi Stamp Heaven CD, very simply coloured with SN markers.

Plenty of Spellbinders action: Classic Circles and Scalloped Circles for the image.  To frame the sentiment I used Grommet Tags die. Finally, some twine to hold it in place.

A peek on the inside...

Before I dash off, I'd like to take my card to: Word Art Wednesday #74;  Aud Sentiments #77 "For a Child"CCEE Stampers #1314 "Things With Wings"; Creative Moments #14 "Things With Wings"; Twist of Faith #31 "New Life"; Inky Impressions #104 "For A Child"; Flat Friends Challenge #7 "Stitching" and Stampin Sisters in Christ "Photo Inspiration" - bird.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend...I know we will!

Beijinhos!

  2. Asha, this is beautiful and the verse of scripture is just perfect for the occasion! I think it is wonderful that nobody knows the baby's gender yet. When I was a practising midwife there was always an amazing sense of wonder in the labour ward waiting for the baby to arrive. There's nothing like that question - is it a boy or a girl? I pray that God will help you to carry out your duties as a Godparent! Love and hugs from Christine xx
